TAFE Robotics and Advanced Manufacturing Centre | Eagle Farm campus

Why We Were Appointed:

FACTION has worked with the Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET), TAFEQ and QBuild in the development and delivery of amazing new training facilities that support the essential trade training requirements for Queensland and SEQ.

The recently redeveloped site at Eagle Farm TAFEQ campus further expands the capabilities in advanced manufacturing, robotics, programmable logic control automation, electrotechnology, sustainable energy and much, much, more. The cutting-edge laboratories, vast workshops, high-tech classrooms, stunning auditorium, and well provisioned amenities are all packaged into a beautiful new building. A building that will stand the test of time and meet sustainability expectations for our future as we track towards a 5-star Greenstar as-built accreditation.

Outcome:

The project team navigated exciting challengers, including substantial land remediation, legacy in-ground infrastructure, authority dealings, market demands on specialist trade skills, complex integration of highly provisioned practical training spaces and detailed coordination of the unique structural / metal / glazed building fabric design. Thankfully, the finished project speaks for itself.
